We are not accepting any new online students until after 1 July 2023 but we will maintain an intake list for this course. We have an anticipated backlog of students currently taking the online course who will require driving lessons in the Spring/Summer. We owe it to them to provide space for driving lessons during this time. We are accepting registrations for the in class course that will be conducted in late August 2023.
Overview
The Basic BDE is a MTO-directed 40 hour package (20 hours classroom, 10 hours home study and 10 hours driving time). At Cops we offer 2 different ways to complete the BDE program. With the exception of the driving time, the remaining 30 hours of study (classroom/homework) can be completed either online or in class. Both the online and in class portions are recognized and accredited by the MTO. In addition to the Basic BDE program, you can choose to add additional driving hours as described in the packages below. The In class and driving portions are conducted respecting all the COVID 19 guidelines and directives.
The BASIC (BDE) - $900 + HST
The Basic BDE course is suitable for most students and assumes that the student will have opportunity to drive regularly with a family member. May be taken either online or in class, with 10 hours of driving time.

The Enhanced (BDE) - $1080 + HST
The Enhanced course is for the student and parent who recognize the benefit of additional professional driving instruction. May be taken either online or in class, with 15 hours of driving time.

The Ultimate (BDE) - $1230 + HST
For the student and parent who demand the highest level of in car instruction. This program is designed for the student who may not have regular access to a vehicle or the opportunity to drive with family members. May be taken either online or in class, with 20 hours of driving time.
